Tibard, Dukinfield: commercial solar PV and battery storage
Engineering energy resilience for Tibard across two warehouses, featuring a combined 89.445 kWp solar installation with 30.72 kWh battery storage capacity.
Client Challenge
Tibard appointed CEC to assess the energy requirements of two neighbouring warehouses. Each building needed its own design, matched to electricity consumption, operating hours, roof space and shading. The aim was to reduce reliance on grid electricity and provide clear technical and financial information before investment.
Assessment
CEC conducted a detailed review of each building to engineer the most effective renewable energy strategy. Our comprehensive assessment covered:
- Electricity demand and consumption patterns
- Operating profiles across both warehouse sites
- Available roof area and structural suitability
- Detailed shading analysis for maximum yield
- Battery storage options for enhanced resilience
PV Arrays
89.445 kWp Total Solar Capacity
Installation of two discrete high-efficiency solar arrays: Building A (44.055 kWp) and Building B (45.390 kWp), covering primary warehouse roof surfaces.
Battery Storage
30.72 kWh BESS Deployment
Each warehouse received 15.36 kWh of battery storage, giving 30.72 kWh in total. Storage retains surplus solar electricity for later use, helping reduce unnecessary export when site demand is lower.
Full Engineering Lifecycle
End-to-end delivery including technical feasibility, detailed system design, professional installation, full commissioning, and real-time performance monitoring.
Forecast: £13,135 Annual Savings
